I have two batteries. No issues with either.

I've had a battery take 24 hours or maybe more before it would start to show any signs of charging, I almost gave up. Once started it appeared to fully charge and have normal capacity.

Are not all cameras on even when off?

The batteries have to support the date/time, memory and settings

I think there is something odd with the X2D battery draining.  I noticed it again, and it does not seem to happen with the 907x/100c

I rather suspect the problem is with that specific battery. I observe no unusual battery drain with the X2D (and CFV 100c). On the X2D I have 97% after two weeks of not having used it.

I have two batteries for my X1D II and, except for the rather weak autonomy, I've never had any trouble. Each of my batteries are still at 100% even after some weeks of not using my X1D. But it's not the X2D....

I have three batteries, the X2D consumes relatively more than any other digital camera I've ever owned. No surprise: there is a lot, really a lot of electronics. My batteries are relatively new and I have not noticed any drain when shut off, while the levels go down very fast when the camera is in use (viewfinder, lens motor, rear screen, etc.).
It was expected.
If there is a drain when shut off, I would check first whether the camera is really off or just in stand-by mode.
Take care!

It's a glitch, maybe just for my camera (and perhaps a few others). It drains when off, and it doesn't matter which battery. Ah well, just pull the battery out...

I had left my 907X/cfv50IIc for more than then a month unused with a battery inside and saw yesterday when I activated the camera again that there hab been no drop in battery capacity and it was still 100% fully charged.

I'm using the X2D extensively these days and observed the battery drain. Photographing, focusing, measuring, the activated sensor, the back screen, all consume power. A morning session takes down the level by 40% circa.
Less demanding digital cameras consume much less.
But I confirm practically no drain when the camera is off. Thus there maybe something else to consider.
Take care!

That's a feature, we discussed it in the past

some Hasselblad X1D batteries—particularly the newer 3400 mAh models—can enter a "sleep" mode if left unused for a period of time. When this happens, the battery may appear completely depleted even if it was fully charged. To "wake up" or refresh the battery, you simply need to plug it into a charger for a moment, after which it will function normally again. This behavior has been noted by many X1D users and is a known characteristic of these batteries.
