Hi all

I have a 907x with 50cfv II, it works perfectly fine in normal temperatures but when out at dawn and the temperature is below, say, 4C/39F the back freezes. Sometimes it says "Lens is not attached", other times it just won't respond. After taking the battery out and back in several times and/or refitting the lens, it usually, but not always, comes alive again. It's most frustrating having got up at 5am to get dawn only for the camera to refuse to work.

Has anyone else had this issue?  It is still (just) under warranty but I hesitate to return it as it'll probably be gone for 5 months knowing HB servicing and it's rare for me to do those freezing dawn shoots.

I spend a lot of time in Sweden and have used the camera in very cold temperatures. Way below zero without any problems.

You should hurry up and send it to Hasselblad.

I had the same problem with my X2D-100c and the 38V. I did send this combination to Hasselblad and now it works.

The electronic contacts on the lens and the camera require a certain amount of lubrication by touching them with a finger. This is particularly necessary in dry and cold ambient air. Not high tech, but effective. 😁
