While X2D tethered to my Mac mini running Ventura 13.3.1, the Phocus 3.7.3 software crashed. When I re-started it, it would not see the camera. I tried re-dowloading the phocus software, but it acts the same, and has my old folder settings.
~/Library/Application Support focus log:
2023-04-16 20:27:59.146 -0400   Exit did finish launching
2023-04-16 20:27:59.396 -0400   DeviceConnected(0x13f1dd000) 0x0
2023-04-16 20:27:59.560 -0400   DeviceCapabilities(): ControllableParameters returned 0x80d60006
2023-04-16 20:28:47.005 -0400   DeviceDisconnected(0x13f1dd000) 0x13f1dd000 F

Note there is one second between connected and disconnected I did not disconnect.
Has anyone seen this? What is the remedy?
Do we ever delete everything in Application Support and re-run Phocus?

I should add the x2d shows as a hard drive on the Mac desktop, and I can access the files from there

I solved this with a different USB cord. Fascinating the Hassleblad provided cord stopped working.

I can't connect mine: everytime it shows the message mass storage/skip, press skip and after 5 seconds the message appears on the screen. Tried different cable, usb3, usb-c, deleting phocus preferences, reset the camera, delete phocus and reinstall: no results. Any suggestions? Thanks

Is the camera on on in sleep mode, by the time you check in Phocus?

I think you want to press mass storage to connect the camera to Phocus (or just the OS). I've never pressed skip.

if you press mass storage, it connects the internal hard drive but it doesn't allow you to shoot tethered. Anyway even if I press mass storage, the camera keeps disconnecting

Oh, you're quite right. On "skip", my X2D connects to Phocus, but I haven't shot enough while tethered to witness a disconnect. When they get live view working it may be different.
