Hello everyone, please tell me what wide-angle lenses did you use on the x2d?
I want to try VOIGTLANDER 21MM F/1.8 ULTRON or something similar in field of view.
I'm curious if anyone has any experience. And how much does this even make sense?

Dont have the X2D but with the X1Dii the Voigtlander 15mm for Leica M works great. You may have to crop from the resultant 12mm equivalent to aprox 14-15mm but with very good results. Relatively cheap and of course no autofocus but with such a depht of field.....

The Voigtländer 10mm super mega ultra wide works on the X2D, but the hood and, to a lesser extent, the corners vignette quite a bit. I wish I still had my 15mm...
The image from an XCD 21mm is overlayed for comparison.

Can you show me what you tested at 15mm?
thanks

Thank you, it would be very interesting to see what kind of vignette and sharpness at the corners of this lens.
Including at open and closed apertures up to f/16.

Thanks for the example, what aperture was this shot taken at?

I have no record of the lens settings. Given that it was night-time, it was probably wide open f/5.6. DoF is very large at that focal length!
The hyperfocal distance is about 6 feet at f/5.6. Everything from 3 feet to infinity is sharp.

I am sorry. I am new to the forum and I dont know yet how to insert a photo.
I Hope this link to Instagram works.
The photo was cropped to aprox 15mm. 1/100sg f8 ISO 200.
There is a very good analisis by Bottazzini worth reading
