I haven my Macbook Pro 2015 connected to my X1D II via a Tethertools cable. Tethering works fine to Phocus.
It will charge the camera if I turn the camera off.
I have "power from laptop" enabled in the camera.
However, if I'm using the camera, the charging can't keep up with the battery drain.
The battery depletes at about 1-2% per shot, depending on if I focus or not. Rear screen is on.
I don't know how Hasselblad can claim you can power the camera by usb.
Anyone have experience with this?

Yes, I get the same behavior, it looks like a feature : when you work tethering, the camera battery doesn't charge. When you stop tethering, with the camera connected to the computer, it does, even when using a standard USB-C cable.

It's 'normal', even with a usb-c cable capable of power delivery.

I attached a screenshot of the X1D II manual entry for "Power from Computer USB" (page 131)
On my camera the lightning bolt to the right of the battery charge indicator is showing.
This is supposed to mean the camera is currently being powered by usb (at least the manual seems to say so).
Is this feature broke or maybe never actually worked.
I wonder if I can get a response from Hasselblad.
