Evening all,
Surprisingly I can't find this info online so I'm wondering is there a difference in weatherproofing / waterproofing between the 2 versions of the 45 mm lenses ( I currently use 45/4) and the newer 38mm lens.

Thank you in advance.

I'm making work quite rainy conditions.

Nor is the X2D water or weatherproof officially

The 45/3.5 (disclosure: one for sale here) has a rubber gasket on the mount. The 45P apparently does not. No idea on the 38V

The 45P has it as well (just checked). Thanks for the photo.

I had never a problem with my 6 "old" XCD's staying on the tripod an hour under light rain drying the X1D + lens from time to time with a towel.
Even after getting sea-spray on it, once at home cleaning the salt with a wet clear water sponge.

It would probably not resist to a long very heavy rain or immersion.
