X2D sensor cleaning

I am a (rich?) hobbyist too. 

Big files need a fast computer for post production, and even if the original owner only shot JPG he might have been surprised by the file size and the time these images took to transfer.

Certainly a professional would have removed the SD card, resetted and formatted the camera, cleaned the camera + sensor prior to sale....

You might be right.

About half the gear I own was purchased very cheap at auctions.

An XCD21 lens was sold for about € 650 at that same auction I got my X2D from.
