When will the market wake up to HC lenses?

The HC and HCD lenses have always been excellent but never really been recognised for it. Perhaps because they lacked the Carl Zeiss badge? Who knows. They might not be quite as advanced as the Leica S lenses but they certainly out perform their CZ predecessors.

So with the H mount now discontinued they seem to be steadily dropping in value despite there being adaptors available for X, GFX and S mounts. Will values continue to fall like Mamiya and Pentax MF lenses or will people start to wake up to their qualities as they did with V-mount and Contax 645 lenses?

Prices are certainly dropping faster now compared to last year, when value was holding.  Who knows how much more it will drop, but I would think it would start to taper off soon.
