Blocking EVF to reduce residue light seeping in?

Anyone block EVF to reduce residue minute light from seeping into the sensor when taking photo? Any difference does it make? Thanks.

It's not a reflex camera, hybrid cameras are light tight, the EVF too.
Sharpen your eyes not your files
