Dreaming of an H7D-135c

As a Hasselblad shooter, I hope that Hasselblad return to medium format with an H7D. I think my thoughts of what a possible H7D might be like are nice and simple and achievable.

A good place to start would be to remain compatible with the existing H series lenses. For the most part they will cover a 6x6 sensor and a 6x6 sensor would be so nice to have. Based on the existing 100c sensor we could easily go from 11600 x 8700px to 11600 x 11600px (135MP)

The flange distance to the sensor of the existing lenses will not leave enough room for a mirror, so we have to go mirrorless. A new HV 90X-III would have an EVF and at this point it would be good to swap out the built in flash and replace it with a DJI LiDAR to assist with auto focus.

The body unit and digital back would stand a little taller, but the depth, and battery grip remain unchanged. The last design improvement would be a better way to lock the telephoto lenses to the body, especially when shooting in poor conditions. With the taller body, it may be possible to add a rod clamp that can bind the HC 210 or HC 300mm lenses to the body minimizing movement between the parts. Especially if an H1.7x is in use too.

Would love to hear your thoughts 😃

And always wondering and hoping for a full-frame CCD 6x6cm digital back for the V system with ultra-fat pixels and an insanely low base ISO, of course 8)
So we can only wonder whats next then ...
