Symptoms:

1. Fresh install of Phocus on an intel MacBook Pro (32G) running Ventura 13.0.1
2. Phocus opens normally and imports images normally
3. When an image is opened for adjustment, the image appears low-contrast, and over-exposed
4. None of the adjustment sliders do anything; they slide, but have no impact on the image or histogram
5. Phocus does not throw up any errors, or seek extra permissions etc.

Attempted solutions:

1. Reinstalled Phocus - no change
2. Trashed everything to do with Phocus (dk., application support, application)
3. Went back to Phocus 3.6

...all to no avail

What suggestions do you have to diagnose / fix the problem? Please let me know
