Frustration with Adjustments Browser

Hi,

Every preset I add to the Adjustments Browser includes "White Balance" - I suppose because it cannot be deselected in the tool pane.  Problem is, even if White Balance is "As Shot", the preset then takes the value of the actual as shot WB, rather than applying As Shot to any file imported using that Adjustment user preset.

There must be a solution to this, otherwise adjustment presets are useless.  But I can't work it out. Help!
