I have been asked by my camera insurance company when my recently purchased camera gear was made, now I purchased everything used and I know they won't know.

Is there anyway of working this out? I have tried Hasselblad Historical with no luck. I have tried looking on google and nothing has come up.

I leave for a trip in 2 days time and I need to get this sorted asap so I am insured.

Hi Jeff,

I have just worked this out now, it was staring at me right in the face and I couldn't grasp it until it just clicked (no pun intended haha)

I also misread part of my serial number as the 1 looked so much like a I on the old lens.

I worked out one of my lenses that has only taken 520 photos in mint condition was made in 2004, I was thinking it was newer than that.

Thank you for your assistance!  :D

You have some features that can give you the birth date of the version of your HC lens:

- orange dot model or older

- for some focal length, Mark 2 model or older
