Battery release not working

Anyone suffer this unfortunate event of the battery not releasing after pushing the release lever nothing happens I can push down on it ... there is some tension but won't release to the half way state.

I actually had the same/similar problem. I solved my problem by putting some duck tape on the visible part to be able to pull it out. Once out, I could see that my battery had expanded some in size. After using a new battery, I have never experienced the problem again.

Thank you did you have any issues with the pin not working after? Don't want to yank it out and then I have a bigger problem.

Personally I didn't experience any problems at all after. My problems came from a swollen battery. Of course, I can't guarantee you have the same problem. And I was kind of careful when I did it.
