HC120 and HC100 with x1,7 converter

I am using an HC120 Macro (old generation) on an H5D-60 and an X1D. I am wondering what can be expected in rendering from a x1.7 converter between the two.
I am looking for an HC100 and I ask myself the same question.
If a few experiences could guide me a little ...

The X1.7 converter is specially calculated for the XCD135 and only for this lens.

XCD135 plus the x1.7 converter isn't just a lens plus an extender, il is a new lens in all it's specifications with virtually no quality loss from 135mm to 230mm.

It goes far into the rear of the XCD135 quite touching the rear lens, I guess it would be to far from the rear lens of a H lens adapter with perhaps mega image quality issues !
