FW 800 help

I think my FW just crapped out on my 39MS. I've tried several
cables , 2 computers & both Flex & Phocus. The back powers up but is
not controlled by the software.

Any tips or tricks I should try before I send it in?

I think I've ruled out the cables and computers since my 528 works on
all of the above.

Sounds like it is the port Michael...
You could try a gentle wiggle and see if it tries to connect. I use a very short lightweight cable to an unpowered hub and then the heavy 10M cable from the hub to save wear on the port. (I know late advice...).

It's thanks to the RSS feed which seems to be working really well now, used to be a bit random! In safari just click the RSS button up in the address bar then in the RSS window click "subscribe in mail" at bottom right..
