Hello -

I could come here with a very stupid question (sorry about that)  :-\
But is there a way to embed automatically your name into the metadata of a picture directly from the camera?

Thank you.

- Dimitri

JCM-Photos

Not in camera, but you can do it automatically when importing 3FR's in Phocus or in tethered shooting.
Sharpen your eyes not your files

Not just that, but you can batch write your name & copyright info in all images in Adobe Bridge or Lightroom at any time.

Best regards,

Hello Guys -

Sorry for the late reply.
@ JCM-Photos, I don't use Focus.
@ Vieri, any idea if it's possible from ACR? Since I don't use either Lightroom or Bridge.

At the same time, I find this a bit sad, since I find this a very interesting "option" if you could do it directly from the camera itself.
Regards,

I am not sure, since I never tried to do that. Have you tried a Google search? Best regards,

Hello Vieri -

I guess I will have y to do it the old way, I mean as I did previously by edit the metadata with ExifTool (via the command line at last on Mac).

Thank you

Sorry to hear that. If you are an Adobe subscription user, you get Bridge for free and you could use that - it's very easy (albeit not the fastest software on the planet), supports batch editing, search, etc.

Hello Vieri -

Thank you for your reply.
I'm not a big fan of Bridge even at work I don't use it, as you said too slow.
You know after reflexion, ExifTool is probably why I need, since you can also batch edit a full folder. I mean you can edit the exit data of a folder full of pictures.
I did it a couple of minutes ago, and it works great.

Anyways thank you for your time Vieri 😉
