Is this a feature?

I noticed every time when shooting. I would be looking thru the eye piece and move the camera just a bit from my eye and it would automatically zoom into detail focus in the electronic view finder.

I can't figure out how I am triggering it to happen, or if it's an unstable feature. Does this happen for you?

Update, I just figured out that my nose or finger must be accidentally brushing the * button will make the viewfinder zoom in for more accurate focusing....
