I was shooting tethered with a 528c at the local BMW dealer this week and I kept getting false exposures. Sometimes three at a time, they were black because the back was capturing but the camera wasn't firing. I wasn't triggering any of them, they were all happening randomly. I'm aware that you can press the back of the Imacon back and initiate an exposure, just haven't had this experience before. FC 4.8.5, OSX 10.5.2 Any ideas? (Please don't tell me I need another $200 cord! Doh!)

Hi Alan
That's what we call a failed capture.. Probably not a lead, I'm guessing a disconnect/re-connect solved it. I have seen this when shooting from the keyboard, quick fix is to fire two frames from the camera the first one is sometimes black again, and the second one is fine. Static build up can cause this..

AlanH,

Are you the Alan from Charlottesville, VA?

What's with all the first names and first letter of last name? I can see the masked names if you have an employer who forbids posting on a forum, but for most of us regular people, how about real names?
