"Capture Failed"

I have my H3Dii tethered to my Macbook Pro (Late 2011) and I am having a problem.  I was able to download images to the computer via firewire previously.  I had an 8GB CF card installed and all was right with the world.  Now that I a using a 16GB card, I am having a problem.  It either downloads a blank image if I transfer a single image or I get a "Capture Failed" error if trying to import multiple images.  When I have a moment, I plan to try downloading the images using a card reader, but I wanted to see if anyone had a thought for why this might be happening.  The only difference I can recall between when it was working and now is the change from an 8GB to a 16GB card.
