Best way to save images ?

Hi I am brand new to MFD - I have bought a H3DII - 39. I am wondering what the best way is to save images....  I have done 1 test shoot where everything just saved in Phocus but i don't have enough space on my laptop to do that for a full shoot. I love the tether feature so definitely want to make use of that if possible. Is it a possibility to tether and save directly to a portable hard drive instead of using up laptop space ? Also is it possible to save to CF card and still tether ?

Yes you really want to tether!. You could try shooting to an external drive but depending on the spec it might be slow. I would consider clearing stuff off the laptop so you can shoot to the internal drive por indeed upgrading to a bigger hard drive. Worth noting too that the fuller a hard drive gets, the slower it gets.

Lastly no, it's not possible to shoot to the CF card while tethered.
