Does anyone know the time line for when Hasselblad introduced multi-coated IR filters over the CCD? I have found that one of the differences between the CFV and CFV II is a multi-coated IR filter. I suspect the change was made after production ended on the CF-22/39 series of digital backs.

Not sure about the actual date anymore but it was going from h3d1 to h3d2 and from CF to CF2. The CF2 has the newer IR filter that is more resistant to certain forms of flare, etc..

I think it was september 2008, it was definitely a photokina year. I received my new CF39MS which turned out to be a CFII with the better IR filter.

Hope this helps.

Dustbak, thank you for your answer.

I didn't know there was a CF2-39MS made and I didn't know it had a coated IR filter. So the CF-39 series succeeded the CF-22 series and the CF2-39 series succeeded the CF-39 series. The CF2-39(MS) was the last CF series back made?
