Hi guys,
I am finishing developing a Studio Light Setup app for iPad / iPhone which will allow you to create and document your light setups.
Please see the post here: https://www.facebook.com/al.maxim/posts/10202188592057877

If you have any interest in this app, I'd love to hear your suggestions regarding equipment / features you'd like to have included.

Here is the itunes link where you can buy it: https://itunes.apple.com/app/photo-studio-light-setup/id733677629
Thank you,
Alex

I did not see if in your app, you can state how many Tilt ° for each source.

Thanks for your feedback!
Once it's out on iPad I'll be looking for ways to port it on Android too. :)
Graphically there are two tilt options, straight or pointing down. But you can add any information you want in the light title which will be displayed near the light or into a long description which shows up when you tap a light.

maybe an idea if it's not allready done, it would be useful to attach a picture of the result to the saved diagram. Like this, you could navigate between pictures and simply click on it to show the corresponding setup.

You could integrate the Lee Filter references (maybe the Rosco range too but it's less used) unless you put it on the description.

Maybe you could put a graphic difference when a light box is right above a model/object (maybe a lower alpha on the source), like this you could see both source and object. I see in your exemple that you put near the girl on the bed a source, I believe it's just above, but if the source is lot bigger (like a giant light box as used on cars photography) ?

Try to use it and you'll see the difference. Of course it can be done with free online diagrams, but the time you'll save with this app, and all the details of setup it allows you to document are on a very different level.
As with cameras, there are many different makes and models, we decided to go with Hasselblad for a reason, right? My point is: not all apps are equal.

I can give a couple of promo codes for free downloads to those who would be willing to rate and write a small review of the app.

I don't critize like an other French member pretend, I just say this is not new in term of application...that's a big difference! But, as he says there's always a "schmuck" and French by the way to open his mouth.
Will take a look at your app of course.
Best.
