flexcolor issues

New to hasselblad...forgive me if this sounds like a dumb question.
When I import an image in flexcolor, it displays a thumbnail of very poor quality, very pixalated, useless for viewing detail. I hear flexcolor renders better color than ACR, and would prefer to stay with it, but the thumbnail issue is vexing.
any ideas?
