i believe hasselblad management would like to see the v system just dry up and go the way of the dodo bird. but when you say the word hasselblad to the average person or see a camera on a tv ad or show, 9 times out of 10 it is the beloved v system that hasselblad created from the very beginning. a rugged well made camera that just did its job for the photographer. people who bought this camera bought it for its square format. i know management wants people to move to the h system but i believe that they are missing a chance to do something special. instead of the cfv-50 with the vertical format and also a mask for square format, they should have a cfv sensor that is a 50x50 square. one big square saying hasselblad still remembers its roots. keeping the pixel size the same as the cfv-50 you are looking at about 70mp with improved technology. i know i am dreaming but i continue to shoot film from my v system since i sold my digital 16mp back.
