H4D-50: Camera info on rear LCD

Camera info on rear LCD looks like a nice feature for when shooting on a tall tripod.

The manual, on the bottom of page 74, says that, if I press down the "View Mode" button <i> I should be able to toggle between normal image view mode and a replica of the camera info shown on the top panel.

I can't get this to happen.

I press and hold and the "spirit level" display appears.
I double-press and the blank "battery saver" display appears.

I have looked for settings that might cause the "Camera info on rear LCD" but cannot find any.

Firmware revision 365.

Any clues for the clueless?

If you press and hold the 'i' button you will get the spirit level. When you press the 'directional pad' towards 'up' you will get the info lcd. If I press the 'i' button shortly I get the info lcd too but when pressing too long I get the spirit level again. Funny thing is that the 'i' button sometimes gets you different things so I find it somewhat weird too but it will get me the spirit level always when I press and hold.
