Problem: Aux Shutter

When tethered, upon releasing the shutter, picture is not taken and the LCD indicates: Aux Shutter.

Anyone knows whats the issue here?

It sounds like you may have a body shutter problem. Does the camera body work OK with nothing else attached? These are always difficult things to get the answer to by correspondence. Can you call your dealer or local agent?

Yes. I called my dealer. I upgraded the firmware as instructed. Now its Firmware 365.

But i am still getting the error message in the first Shot. Subsequent shutting on and off seems to fix it but... i like to rectify it permanently.

problem solved: Dirty contacts between lens and body!  ::)

I have similar problems at times, but what is the best way to clean these contacts?
Eraser, fluids, tongue :-)?

i sent it to Shriro to do it. They were the ones who told me.

Anyway, right after i got it back, i got the SAME problem! But this time, i unlocked the lens and snapped it back and cld get it working...

Am gg to shelf this issue for a while. haha.
