Extending display time

My grip and rear displays stay bright for 7-8 sec, then darkens for about 3 sec, then turn off. I'd like to keep them on longer. How can I do this?
Note - In Custom Options I changed the Standby mode from 10s to 30s, but it doesn't seem to affect the time my display remains active.
