I've been shooting Nikon up until I made the switch to the H4D. I've noticed that there is a setting in Custom Options where I can change metering from Normal to Zone. I can't seem to find anything in the user guide that explains what this does in detail.

Which setting do you guys use? What's the difference between Normal and Zone and how do I use them? I thought I had metering down pat with my Nikon, and it just doesn't seem to work the same way in the Blad.

That was my first point of reference, but it still doesn't make sense to me, although I do understand some bits. I typically decide what I want to keep (e.g. shadows or highlights), then I stop up or down two stops as needed.

However, I'm somehow not able to map that to what the function actually does on the H4D, which really is the basis of my question :)

uk_h4d_range_manual_v15 I got it from the Hasselblad site. It's worth checking there  occasionally.
