Greetings,

I've just purchased a new H3DII-39 and want to use the back on my Cambo tech camera.

I know the Image Bank II will work, but all I need is power, and frankly a much lower price than the Image Bank.

Anyone know of a device that would provide power to the back, say via FireWire?

Thanks,
Jack

Well look....

....by the time you've set up your cambo and plugged it all in you might as well use your laptop and get the advantage of seeing what you're shooting. you just need a hood for the laptop...and we use a camping chair! Great fun!

There were some people that were experimenting with other external power solutions for the H3. Take a look at this thread to see if it is of any help to you.

Try using a powered firewire hub, a very useful item. you wont regret it.

That's i good idea, Hassel indicates granite product to achive this, 10w power to the back is needed. or use the MBP laptop.

Jack: I've wanted to do the same thing, but I was wondering how to attach the back. I have a Cambo Ultima 23 -- what plate did you use to attached the H3DII-39 to the back of the Cambo (presuming you have the same model of Cambo).
