iMac for Phocus?

I've always used PC/Windows system and now looking to move over to Apple Mac.

I've been looking at the following spec of an iMac on the Apple Store and would like some advice on its suitability for use with Phocus & Photoshop.

27" iMac, i7 3.4GHz Quadcore, 16Gb ram, AMD Radeon HD6970M 2GB graphics,

I've heard stories that iMac's can be a bit sluggish with Phocus, with no previous experience of using a Mac, I don't really know the suitability of the above setup.

That is exactly my IMac setup, and Phocus works fine for me.

Any issues with glare and color calibration on the iMac?

For me, I do not have a need for spot on color calibration.  The color I see and like is the only criteria I use.  And it seems to be perfectly suited for my Epson 7880 printer, because I get the same accurate colors when printing.
