I made the switch to Phocus and I have a screaming i7 Macbook all rammed up. Everything needed to run Phocus but I have one weird issue.
We run Rollei shutters on Sinar P2's and things are working just fine on the G5 desktop. I switch to Phocus and Macbook and everything works except live focus. It will start up but withing 15 seconds I get a fire wire error on the back. I switch back to the G5 and same camera system and things are great again. I try Macbook and phocus with a new cable and things are groovy with live focus. Does anyone know if there is a reason a cable would work for one and not the other. Is the voltage different? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks,
Corey

The Macbook isnt giving out the same consistent voltage. Try a Lindy repeater, it ...may....help.

Thanks Monty,
That's what I was guessing but I don't understand why one cable would work but not the other.
I am going to get a repeater or powered hub

Hi Corey,

Are you on the latest version of firmware for your camera?

You are referring to the actual digital back and not a H body correct. I will check on Monday.
Thanks,
