AF with HTS

Hi!

For some reason AF does not work with HTS (+ HC100) any more. I think it did work before I installed the new firmware. I have put a user button to AF and use only it to focus. Before the firmware update I did not get the HTS readings in Phocus and now when I get, no AF. What am I doing wrong?

It isn't supposed to work... because of the movements the AF cannot work properly. It will however work on an older body (say an H2) but only accurately if the movements are zeroed out.

What is funny, I noticed initially my focus confirmation lights worked with the HTS but at one point it simply stopped. Is it supposed to be working? I is a  real bonus having this.

BTW, I also noticed a little bit of front focussing with my setup. I need to focus a tad in front of where I want focus to start to get it exactly right. Than again, I doubt the HTS was meant to be for handhold table top work

Hmm...strange ting. I'm sure AF worket at some point. It might be with the extension tube or then with the previous firmware.

AF works on my H2F (updated H2 which was an updated H1)! As well as the focus confirmation. I will try the newer H2F (not an upgrade) later to see if that is the body that doesn't have the focus confirmation or the AF.
