H2 as a backup body

I'm looking for a backup for my H3d (soon to become an H4d) body.  Is an H2 a plausable choice - they are available used at reasonable prices. 

Will it work with HCD lenses and whatever finder I have?

It has been suggested that I should have a backup body, but that sensor units are reliable enough that it make sense not to have a second sensor unit.  Does that make sense.

What if the metering prism fails?  If that means lost metering no problem, if it disables the system it's a big problem.

What are others using in terms of backup gear strategies?
