HI,

I'm currently running Phocus 2.0 on a PC (Q6600 with 2.9GHz; 8GB RAM, Graphic card NVIDA 8600 GT 512MB Ram, Two screens 26" and 24",Windows 7). The main speed issue I had with Phocus is to browse the photo data (H3D-31 files)  in the 100% view to judge the sharpness of the picture.

Based on the recommendation in the Phocus manual:

High Performance
Core 2 Quad (or AMD equivalent), 8GB memory, 1GB video RAM
In general, more video RAM is better, especially if you plan to
work with 30" displays or dual monitor setups.

my question:

it is enough to buy a modern midrange card like the ATI 5770  (approximate: 140 Euro )

it is necessary to switch to a high End graphic card like the ATI 5850? (approximate 300 Euro) Or is this overkill.

thanks

Detlef
