Title: Third-party RAW/NEF files support broken in Phocus 3.3.1/Mac?
Post by: fiatlux on November 07, 2017, 03:46:29 AM
I normally exclusively use Phocus for my H3D files but yesterday I did some comparisons between Lr/C1/Phocus on Nikon NEF files (difficult D750 files taken under low, mixed-WB light). I know Phocus on Mac rely on Apple's RAW library but was wondering whether it provided better controls than Apple Photos.

Anyway, Phocus properly displayed NEF thumbnails but, as soon as I clicked on the NEF thumbnails, it rendered hugely underexposed (almost black), highly posterised pictures.

Is this a known issue?

I have a 2010 Mac Pro with GTX960 running latest High Sierra, latest nVidia web drivers and latest CUDA drivers.

I just did a test for you. D810 files read just fine in 3.3.1 Only difference is that I have not upgraded to High Sierra yet (I'm always very slow to do upgrades on my tether station)
