Title: "Warning!, warning!"
Post by: nevjam on November 11, 2009, 07:20:17 AM
A few weeks ago I witnessed the strangest thing. I was working in the studio with a colleague who was shooting tethered using my H2 22MS combination mounted to a Foba camera stand via the Hassy quick release mount. So far, so sturdy...you say. Then, without anyone being within 5' of the camera the back released itself from the body and fell 3' onto the concrete floor denting the black adapter mount. We looked at each other in stunned disbelief, how could this happen?

The camera and back were sent back to Hasselbad UK for assessment and 5 weeks later Sweden has agreed to a 'no responsibility' free repair!

H2 owners might want to ensure adequate insurance and/or feather pillows!

It's Tripod quick coupling H, but the camera body remained fastened to the stand. Only the digi back fell off.

Apologies, now I understand.

Keep up Laban.
