Title: Remove battery to reset.
Post by: cerett on April 12, 2017, 05:08:47 AM
Every so often I get an error message or the back gets stuck in the "starting up" mode (H6D-100c). If I turn off the camera and restart it, it simply goes back to the same message. The only way I've found to correct this is to remove and then reinsert the battery. I had the same occasional issue with my H5D-50c. It's like the camera has a brain fart and needs a restart or reset to get going again. Is my thinking correct? Similar experiences?

I have that problem with the H5D-50c occasionally.  Nice to know it's not my bad karma.

I've had it happen about 4-5 times in the month and a half i've owned the H6D-50c; an average of about once a week seems like a bit much, but yes, it happens quite often. Sometimes it'll start up just fine, but after a few shots, it'll get stuck "thinking"; and i have to remove the battery to restart it. Not a big deal, but it has been an inconvenience.

Have you installed the newest firmware?

Unless there is something newer than 1.16.0, the answer is yes.
