Title: Alternative to CF card and Tethering for storage
Post by: Bashir Lunat on July 12, 2017, 02:04:25 PM
I am (hopefully) getting my first MF digital on Friday. I will be H3D 39 with a standard lens.
I am aware that this camera can be tethered to a laptop for image saving and storage, as well as CF card (maximum 32GB?).
Can I use  any 2.5" external pocket/portable hard drive? Any pertcular make type or brand? Will it be powered by camera battery? Any suggestions and advice will be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

Hi Bashir

You might be able to find one of these on eBay:

But I don't think it's worth the hassle, CF cards are so cheap these days.
