It would be great to have the H manual as an iPad or iPhone app like canon has for the 5 DII

Actually there is an alternative solution. It's to put the PDF manual in iTunes and then sync your iPod or iPad and you can now read it there. I have all my manuals, brochure or even the Victor magazines with me in my iPad and it's very convenient. :)
Get the Goodreader App to do this and a bunch more things really well. I can also highly recommend the dropbox application to sync content across devices.
