X1D/X2D Cameras / Shooting multiple photos witho...
Last post by xoda - Today at 09:22:17 AM
Was wondering if it's possible to continuously shoot long exposure photos (~5s each) without gaps in between?

I've always found that taking multiple shorter (e.g. 5s) shots produce better results than a longer shingle short (e.g. 30s) & using ND or stopping down further when taking long exposure car trails. I recently tried to do this on the X2D, but found there's a gap between finishing one exposure and starting the next. This creates gaps in my car trails.

Can I avoid these gaps?

If you still have this available, I am interested.  I just closed my PayPal account 2 months ago.  Would you accept a check?  I am willing to wait for it to clear before you ship.  Thanks.

X1D/X2D Cameras / Re: • Discharge of the batter...
Last post by X1dman - Today at 08:08:07 AM
Question.

I left my X1D mk1 in my camera bag during the day, turned off, when I came back some time later it was warm. As warm as if it had been working, if not more.

When I turned it on, it immediately said 'shutting down' and turned off. Did this twice so took the battery out, which was only mildly warm. Not as warm as the camera grip and casing.

Would there be any other reason than that the button had been pressed whilst in the camera, and the self protection was working as it should?

If all is well and as expected, then what is the best way (other than battery removal) to stop this happening?

Any ideas?

It's best to email Hasselblad and tell them you want this feature implemented, that's what I did.
The more requests they get, the more likely it'll appear in the next firmware set.

The lenses / Re: Replacement Lens Hood

The Hasselblad  part number is  CP.HB.00000460.01

An internet search of the part number only in the search field using Startpage and Duckduckgo yielded 6 results.

Prepare yourself for sticker shock.

You might also try your luck with one of the Hasselblad dealers that is focused on the professional market. Steve Hendrix at Capture Integration was helpful to me in securing a replacement for a rear lens cap for an HC lens that no longer "locked" snugly in place.

Good luck,

Bob
