Title: Will CF adapter with H body work with V Series close focus bellows?
Post by: rogerxnz on May 30, 2016, 11:58:08 AM
The CF adapter works with V Series extension tubes. So, I expect it will work with V Series bellows as well.

Does anyone have experience with this combination or can anyone confirm the combination will work?

Yes I'm sure it will work, it's only a mechanical device after all...

Thank you, Nick, for your reply.

I find the bellows unit which has been offered to me is the non-automatic version, which you would ordinarily use with a double-cable release.

My set up would be: IQ180: H2: CF adapter: Bellows: CF lens: lens hood.

Can I avoid using a double cable release by lifting up the mirror and triggering the exposure with a cable release at the front of the bellows?

Lifting up the mirror also raises the rear shutters on the body. So, tripping the shutter on the lens might sync the back because of the cable going from the CF adapter to the flash socket on the lens.

What do you think? The main questions are: do I need to have a double-cable release for my setup, and if so, would any double-cable release work or do I need a specific Hasselblad one?
