Title: 20,000 shutter count on H5
Post by: Tazdog1 on August 09, 2017, 05:00:46 AM
Is that a lot for a H5? What count do you need to be concerned about shutter?

Thanks

No- I don't think that's terribly high.

That's pretty low. Shutters are usually rated for 150,000-200,000 but since there is no shutter in a Hasselblad H body, the shutter count doesn't really matter. Only thing that's really moving is the mirror.

There actually is a shutter in H bodies: that fabric curtain at the back. It is rated for 100 000 exposures.

Isn't that just some sort of protective curtain that slides over when the shutter release is triggered? Does it match the speed of the shutter? I couldn't find much info on it right now when I googled.

Mine died around 41k. Had to send in to be repaired.

Yes, that is what it is.

No, it doesn't. Hasselblad still calls it an "auxiliary shutter", though.
