I am using Phocus Mobile mostly when I am traveling and it is very useful to cull images at the end of a day (mostly just viewing them without import). I would find it extremely useful if one can add keywords at this time to the keepers but why is that only possible on the computer version?

Quote from: Ralf on April 21, 2024, 04:29:12 AMWith the xcd 21 and the xcd 38v you are well equipped for indoor photography.

Personally, I have chosen the 4/21, the 2.5/38v and the 1.9/80 as an all-round package. I am very happy with the selection.

Every now and then I think about a 135mm, but I want to wait and see whether Hasselblad will perhaps bring out a 135V or 135P.

Don't hesitate for the existing 135, it's the best lens I ever used in the last 40+ years. Incredible IQ

impossible to use with studio flashes... simply incredible for a camera like this...

I am missing something here?
I use my X2D with strobes every day. Exposure simulation OFF. Works fine.

Quote from: o2mpx on May 31, 2024, 04:04:29 PMIs the only way of getting images into Phocus Mobile is camera to iPad via usb c?

Tried copied prior 3fr images into the Phocus 2/Images folder, where the sample files are located but Phocus Mobile doesn't show these images.
You can upload images from the the X2D to Phocus 2 using WiFi. You can upload images to your iPad using a cable to the Files app. WiFi if you need to edit with Focus. If you're using the iPad as backup you can use Files...for later transfer to a desktop.
I've not been able to copy images from the folder in Files to Phocus 2.

Thanks so much for your answer--you inspired me to purchase Topaz Photo AI, as you're the 5th source in less than a month to recommend this software. I tinkered around extensively with the Topaz Photo AI denoising function, and am rather surprised to report that ACR's AI Denoise is far superior to Topaz's denoising function. I edited a number of different high ISO files in the Topaz Photo denoise filter, mixing various sharpening settings along with the denoise settings, and amazingly, the nuance of that perfect balance of detail and noise is a home run with ACR's denoising feature, with Topaz demonstrating quite a bit more denoising artifact than I care for. And with head to head comparison with the Topaz denoising feature at 200%, it's not even close. On top of that, the ACR Denoise feature is just one click, and Topaz requires quite a bit of fiddling, but even with 2 hours spent working with the Topaz software, it doesn't come close to ACR's denoising outcomes. Topaz Photo AI is still worth the spend, particularly thanks to its sharpening feature, but I am going to cast a strong denoising vote in favor of ACR's AI Denoise feature. And again, the context here is high ISO astrophotography--I'm not sure if the same will hold for files with less noise and lower ISO's.

I have a 5x7 large format camera which is quite larger than any of these comparisons but I do not take it backpacking as it requires its own large backpack albeit I hike with it for a couple of hours. A lot of camera manufacturers are more considering other aspects than portability (like the rumored/announced Canon R1). New cameras like the Leica Q3 or Fuji X100VI which are very portable are on permanent backorder.

Still I hope that Hasselblad can reduce the weight of its next camera, they are doing it with their lenses especially with the 28P

Size is always relative.

It's been a long time since I've been using digital equipment as compact as the X2D.
