Title: Lens mounting on 1.7x converter
Post by: hbfan on May 09, 2017, 08:52:13 AM
Just bought the 1.7x, and neither my 50mm or 100mm lens lock onto the converter. Both work just fine on the converter so electrical contact is being made, there's just no "click" when the lens mounts. Unlike the lens lock button on the body, the one on the converter has a very weak spring, and when I push it down it barely returns. I'm thinking it's defective but want to see if others have the same experience.

Mine locks with a distinctive click. Wouldn't have it any other way.

The spring of your lock is apparently worn out as it should click. But it is not a serious problem: just push the lock in position after the lens is mounted...

If you bought it new, I would return it for another one.
