Title: Problems with FlexColor 4.8.13
Post by: achristison9 on June 26, 2013, 09:16:46 PM

Dear all members of the Hasselblad digital forum,

I am experiencing problems with Flexcolor 4.8.13. At first the problem was that when I tried to scan a batch of 10 negatives, I was receiving the message 'unable to load image'. Meaning that out of 10 only 3 would be usable. Of the rest, the 3Fs were appearing in Bridge and Finder but unable to open in Flexcolor.

I've tried deleting the 'devices' folder and 'dk.imacon.flexcolor.plist' and I've tried unistalling a reinstalling from online.

Now it crashes after 2 scans.

I'd appreciate any ideas!

Many thanks,

Aisha

I am a bit out of touch these days, I don't even have a Mac right now but I remember some of the solutions.
What Mac do you have and what OS is it running? You may need to clean up some files that may be in hidden folders. Do you have sufficient memory and disc space?
There is a dedicated users group for Imacon/Hasselblad scanners at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/imaconusers/

After a long process of elimination, it seems the problem was not with the scanner, software or connecting wires, but due to a few corrupt 3F files.

If anyone experiences similar problems, I recommend deleting corrupt files.
