H and V Cameras / Re: H6D + Profoto
Last post by Thyl - Today at 11:41:43 PM
For TTL flash control, the H system uses the SCA flash adapter, to be more precise, type 3902:

https://www.keh.com/shop/metz-sca-3902-m2-hasselblad-h1-715238.html

Unfortunately, the last manufacturer building compatible flash lights, Metz, has given up several years ago. Flashes and batteries seem to degrade; last time I tested my 50MZ-5, the battery could not reach enough voltage to actually supply the flash.

Maybe, this was one of the reasons why the H system was discontinued, Hasselblad would have needed to develop a new flash system, because as it seems, nowadays even studion flash equipment is expected to work with TTL?!

This fate is shared by the older V system cameras (SCA adapter 390), but also by the Rollei Hy6 (SCA 3562).

Coming back from a trip I just noticed that the import of images which I had worked on with Phocus Mobile on the iPad does not reflect the applied modifications if you choose "embedded if existent".

Have to go back to version 3.7.6

907X / Back button focus on 907x with...
Last post by Mordrapheus - Today at 03:47:53 PM
Hi all,

Am new to the forum, and sort of new to hasselblad...have had a 500cm for a year and recently bought the 907x and cfv100c.

Coming from a more digital 35mm background I was wondering if there is a way to do back button focus on the 907x when using the grip? I know that without the grip that is just not in the cards...but was hoping with the grip that might be.

I have been searching for an answer online but have not really found one other than switching to manual focus.

Thanks for any help.

X1D/X2D Cameras / Re: XCD 90mm f3.2 and X2D

Added the 90mm f3.2 and the 135mm f2.8 + the 1.7 teleconverter recently. Very happy with the legacy XCD lenses and not finding a need for the V lenses. Additionally, based on most comments, the newer lenses don't seem to perform better, other than being more light weight. Do have the 45p and the newer 28p with some occasional use.

X1D/X2D Cameras / Re: Small Horizontal Red Line

UPDATE:  Spoke with customer support / tech @ Hasselblad and recommended first updating the firmware, which I did for both the lens and camera.  So far....I haven't had the issue reappear. While I'm thankful of not having to send my camera overseas, I'm a little perplexed what updating firmware would have to do with it, and would think if it was a firmware issue that the problem would have been more common.  Not complaining...just inquiring and trying to get a better understanding of how these things work.  Fingers crossed for now.

When using the electronic shutter (as with most cameras) the flash cannot be triggered.

Quote from: JCM-Photos on February 06, 2024, 11:24:30 AMYes I love my 503 CX with the CFV II 50c and the Acute Mate D screen with digital format lines.

Do you have the model number for that screen...I've heard it's the best option for this set up.
Thanks

Yes it's "Hasselblad 3042264 focusing screen for CFV-50C"

I bought it new from my Hasselblad retailer at normal retail price between launch of the CFV II and delivery of mine.

I guess that today this screen is outsold as new Hasselblad official spare part,

I've seen it on interner as used or NOS mostly at double original retail price !

X1D/X2D Cameras / Re: "Drive to infinity not sup...

3.5 45 works to infinity as all other original XCD lenses on my vintage X1D.
but depending on the start point and increment size it often there is no frame at infinity, with one just before and one just after with the body stops and says infinity reached.

For this reason I never use this mode for my landscapes and only use the start by infinity with AF focusing at infinity before.

Seems as with the X2D Hasselblad introduced a safety  to not use this function in uncertain infinity sharpness cases ?
