Title: Phocus - " Unable to find valid calibration files! "
Post by: Dicky on April 14, 2017, 07:11:27 AM
Hello there,

Am attempting to re-install a fresh downloaded copy of Phocus V2.7.6 on an iMac 27 running on OS X 10.10.5.

On each tethered capture attempt the following message appears :

Unable to find valid calibration files!

Which causes Phocus to hang and then requires force-quit to clear the app.

Meanwhile Flexcolor V4.8.13 is rock solid when shooting tethered on OS X 10.10.5 although it would be really nice if Phocus was too !

Any advice and expertise would be much appreciated ...

Kind regards,

Dicky

Hi Dicky
I can't remember where those files are stored exactly as I'm not at the studio. The are I think in user/library/applicationsupport/phocus and will be around 16MB each. Have a look in user/library/applicationsupport/flexcolor and see if the calibration files are there, if so yo could try copying NOT moving! them to the corresponding location in the phocus folder.

I won't be back in the studio until Tuesday but I'll provide a more accurate answer then if you are still stuck.

Hello Nick,

Many thanks for your much appreciated reply.

Having an interesting time in locating the Phocus calibration files on this iMac, beginning to suspect that they may have not correctly downloaded along with the V2.7.6 Phocus app from the Hasselblad archive.

Going to stick with Flexcolor for the time being, as we need to continue shooting tethered without any further Phocus app stability issues.

Kind regards,

Dicky
