Title: 4K BenQ or Eizo ????
Post by: mattseed on January 16, 2019, 07:49:46 AM
Hi guys I am in line for a new monitor. I have it down to

BenQ SW320 Pro 32" IPS LCD Monitor

or

EIZO ColorEdge CG2730 27 inch IPS Monitor

I have always used EIZO in the past but this BenQ seems to be getting good reviews all over. I have never had a 4K monitor though, do i ned one ? I do work with video but mainly stills from my Hasselblad H6.

Anybody got any tips fro one over the other please ?

Thanks
Matt

Matt I've heard a few people complain that 4K is too high resolution to retouch at 100%, might be worth considering. Does the Ben Q self calibrate?

I too own an EIZO and think nothing else compares, however, the ones you are mentioning are not even in specs.  you need to look at these 2:

https://www.cnet.com/products/eizo-flexscan-ev3285fx-bk-with-flexstand-led-monitor-31-5/ (https://www.cnet.com/products/eizo-flexscan-ev3285fx-bk-with-flexstand-led-monitor-31-5/)

The latter is the EIZO, and not the top of line at that, for those sell for $5K+

Good luck
