Title: Shutter release and H6
Post by: DJPixelMan on August 21, 2016, 04:35:50 AM
Has anyone else had problems with the Hasselblad shutter release cable on their H6? The jack plug sticks out quite a bit, and if one inadvertently (or on purpose) touches it whist the camera is switched on, one gets a non-stop burst of exposures. Something is obviously shorting in the camera somewhere.

Sounds like a loose connection, is the camera set to continuous? Also be sure that the plug is fully seated and the the little rubber dust cover isn't getting in the way.

Thanks Nick. Quick question; how do I set the camera to Continuous mode? I can't find that option in any menu to check, and I don't have access to the manual..which is on another PC at home.

Long press on the ISO button to toggle between single and continuous.

OK..thanks Nick. However, I think I have solved the problem. I added a small thin rubber ring onto the jack-plug of the shutter release so that it doesn't touch the metal of the camera jack socket. All OK now.
